National Payment Solutions, LLC (NPS) is a leader in the electronic payments industry, providing multiple solutions to various industries, including billing companies, state, county, and local government organizations, and retail merchants.
NPS’s core focus is in the check industry, providing an end-to-end solution to check processing, from processing the transaction as an ACH to recovering the check payment if it returns unpaid. Along with check services, NPS also provides a complete solution for merchant bankcard authorization and settlement services (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express).
NPS has both the knowledge and capability to meet the demands of a constantly changing marketplace. Our team of distinguished electronic payment professionals will work with you to customize and tailor a program that best suits your business needs.
Company History
National Check Recovery, LLC (NCR) was founded in 1996 as a provider of traditional collection and check recovery services. As the paper check industry has evolved over the years, so has NCR, while remaining a major player in the collection and check recovery industry today. National Payment Solutions was added as a subsidiary of NCR in 2001 as the check industry became more electronic. The focus for NPS was to determine the path of the electronic check market as new rules and applications were created, in part due to the tragedy of September 11, 2001. National Payment Solutions, LLC spun off from NCR in January 2006 to solely concentrate on the various electronic products and technology that are available now and will come in the future. In 2010, NPS purchased NCR to operate under one company.
